JCECE 2014 Eligibility Criteria

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE 2014) is being conducted by the JCECE board on 27 April, 2014 for admission to engineering and agriculture courses being offered by various government and private colleges in Jharkhand.

The following table will help you easily understand the various age and educational eligibility criteria that need to be met to appear in JCECE 2014:

Engineering

Candidates should have passed I.Sc/10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in all these subjects taken together.

No maximum or minimum age limit

BHMS

Candidates should have passed I.Sc/10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry & Biology

No maximum or minimum age limit

B.Sc. (Agriculture) &  B.Sc (Forestry)

Candidates should have passed I.Sc/10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry & Maths OR Physics, Chemistry & Biology

Minimum age 17 years & max. 22 years as on 1 Jul 2014. (3 yrs relaxation for SC/ST candidates in upper age limit)


Residential eligibility criteria:

If you’re applying for JCECE 2014, you should be a citizen of India and a local resident of Jharkhand. All applicants have to submit the original Local Residential Certificate issued by the Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) (Civil) or the DC at the time of counselling. Make sure that you follow the format given in the JCECE prospectus.
